Never Can Say Goodbye

Needless to say it's been a difficult 15 months for those of us that have had to accept that we must let Michael go, to move on without us, but we're learning to do it as a family, and to honour him in the way only MJ fans really can.

We're truly blessed that he las left us so many happy memories to share every day. Memories that connect us and put a smile on our faces every single day regardless of our own personal troubles. We're blessed that he taught us how to love in ways that no other ever could. We're so lucky that we have such a united community behind us in the form of this tribute to support us and share the grief and pain that we still feel all these months later. I've made some of the closest friends in these last few months, purely because they are people that understand what I've been going through.

For all my life as an MJ fan, I was alone in my fervour, with nobody that really understood why I found him to be so special. Sure, they all recognised his talent, but what I saw goes so much deeper than that. This tribute is not only a beautiful way to honour the man we love, and to have a part in a tribute to him that will last forever, it's also a bond between like-minded people who share one true common interest. It's a godsend for those if us that needed to share our pain and didn't know where to go. It's an outlet for all our frustrations, our grief, our sheer joy at the wonders Michael left us with throughout his lifetime. It's a place to marvel at the legacy he left, and more importantly still, to continue it.

People often say that Michael Jackson fans are 'crazed' and 'intense'. Perhaps so, but if you look beyond our obvious enthusiasm, you'll find thoughtful, caring, wholehearted people so full of warmth and tenderness it can bring a tear to your eye.

Michael taught us many things besides love. He taught us to care, to reach out, to help others, to revere nature, our wonderful planet and all living creatures within it. He taught us that we must use whatever resources we have to try to mend the problems this world suffers, and that even our smallest actions can make a difference. That even a kind word, or a meaningful 'I love you' can change the slightest thing. Along with his beautiful memory, this is the legacy that we must continue for him now. Perhaps Michael can no longer make the exceptional difference that he once did, but we can. In his name. For him. He deserves that from us at least.

I Never Can Say Goodbye, but I will say See You Later :)
Sleep well, my love, for a job well done.
